Our Unsung Heros

Two locomotives that don’t get too much attention are the pair of Network Rail Class 37s that reside at the station. Affectionately known by enthusiasts as ‘Tractors’, these are kept on hand to help stricken stock and when the weather turns are on hand for snow clearing duties with our resident pair of snowploughs.

Sprinter anyone?

Our regular visitors looked particularly photogenic so here they are in full force. The eagle-eyed will also spot the Pacer hiding in the background – definitely a marmite unit!
